Red with charcoal-grey is the documented 1984 US Ninja 900R scheme shown in the gallery. Blue with silver is also recorded for the A1 family; availability differed by market.

Kawasaki labels the A1 diagram with Silver, Blue, Graystone and Red variants. The US history specifically describes red/charcoal. The diagram alone does not establish market allocation or guarantee that every later service part was an original option.
In the photographs
The 1984 display motorcycles show red bodywork with charcoal or silvery-grey contrast areas. The grey looks lighter in some views; its original paint condition is unverified. The black road motorcycle is an undated comparison and does not establish a 1984 factory alternative.
