Jet Black, Racing Yellow and Caspian Blue were paired with silver mudguards. The chequered tank graphic belongs to this earlier finish; the stripe pattern changed for 2007.

In the photographs
Three photographs show a dark-green Thruxton with matching mudguard and a black engine. The black 2004 comparison has silver mudguards; the cockpit photograph shows a pale centre stripe on a dark tank. These span different appearances. The green bike is not a verified 2006 colour reference and the source does not establish whether its finish is later factory paint or a repaint.

In the coloured example
The blue and ivory illustration is a creative scheme. Caspian Blue was available for 2006 but the ivory side inset and stripe treatment do not establish a correct 2006 factory layout, which used silver mudguards and earlier graphics.
Make the details count.
Carry the same ivory colour through the tank stripe and tail stripe.
Leave bright narrow highlights along the sweeping exhaust.
Vary the brick colours lightly without making the wall darker than the bike.
